First off, what the heck kind of name for a pizzeria is "Cecil Whittaker" of all possible names? More like Whitey McWhiteboy! One would think they would go with a more Italian name. Ironically enough the decor, which was lovely, consisted of wallpaper with the obligatory (faux) Italian scenery that essentially says "pizza place" and yet they went with the most Anglo-Saxon name possible? That right there makes me question the authenticity.

No matter, service was excellent! Our server, whose name I am unable to recall for the life of me, was very kind and professional. And to their credit, they had to put up with our party (of loud, rowdy, inebriated Greeks with a couple whitebois in the mix)! Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. I did enjoy the fried ravioli very much and found the wings to be okay. However, the pizza itself was quite a disappointment. It came with a cheese topping, on top of the basic mozzarella, that must have consisted of Cheez Whiz. Whatever it was, I found it "white trashy" and unfitting. I guess it was a Saint Louis thing. Though we did not order dessert here, I trust (hope?) that to be good at least. Food-wise, the appetizers were a big hit, as I imagine the desserts would have been, but the pizza was a big miss.

We had a large pepperoni pizza. It was really good. They also was able to accommodate my wife's gluten and dairy allergy with a gluten free pizza and no cheese. They pulled the toppings on and the gf crust was awesome, thin and crispy. All very reasonably priced.

Again, no hard feelings and I sincerely wish you good luck.

We ordered a pizza at 1:55pm for delivery . We were told it would be 45 min to an hour to arrive . An hour and 15 min passes and no pizza or call. We call and the person answering says " sorry we got slammed", doesn't give any type of compensation for next time or to say they should of called and said they would be late . When I delivered pizza we would always call if we knew it was going to be way late . An hour and 25 min passes and the driver doesn't even give a hello , just looks annoyed . When I worked for a pizza place I would always offer free food when it was that late and no one called . I won't be going back to this place again .

Nice gamely atmosphere, clean, and excellent service. Pizza is served hot as are all the dishes. Great value.

Addendum for the Owner: I provided an honest review. If anything, I was perhaps overly generous with the rating, but the service was so good, friendly and competent, that the bonus star was well-earned. Take that as you will. The interior was more than good enough in terms of visual appeal. Personally, I LOVED the appetizers. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed with the pizza itself. Being a pizza place, pizza of all things is central. That was the reason why I did not give a full 5 stars, why, exceptional service aside, I would have ranked it 3/5 at best. I hope you weren't bothered by the review or repost, just my honest feedback with constructive criticism. [Though, in fairness, I will PROBABLY never return, nothing personal, simply because, as indicated, in May 2017 we were all out-of-towners, and I have no idea when, or if, I will ever return to STL, and in any event, it is unlikely that I would return to this particular restaurant. My only advice, improve the pizza recipe, getting rid of the "Cheez Whiz topping" would be a start.]

As to why I reposted, well frankly, I copied, deleted, and reposted all of my reviews, as Google recently awarded bonus points for detailed (200+ char.) reviews, not applicable to reviews posted before the fact. I just wanted to take advantage of the bonus towards my Local Guide score.

I visited this restaurant while in Saint Louis for my cousin's graduation from Mizzou. I must say that the 4-star rating is somewhat overly generous on my part. More like a 3-star if you ask me... I grant a bonus star for the exceptional service we enjoyed, though the food itself left much to be desired.

Always great pizza and friendly staff. I really wish they would get the strawberry cider back. I'll still visit though.
